Lignano Sabbiadoro is located between the Lagoon of Marano, the left bank of the river Tagliamento, and the Adriatic Sea and it’is famous for its golden sand, that gives the name to the town. Lignano is a resort with leisure boating facilities amongst the most developed in Europe with approximately 5,000 berths and 8 docks. It has a coastline and a beach divided into three zones (Sabbiadoro, Pineta, and Riviera) which extends for about 8 km with noteworthy infrastructures.
